Lycanthrope.net was founded in 1994 by Smash, as a place for friends to host personal web pages, mostly from interest generated in the UseNet group alt.horror.werewolves. The domain was a personal vanity domain, and has remained so since it's inception. The site has evolved over the years, but still remains a mail and web hosting service for many of it's original members. With the evolution of complex yet user friendly content management systems, lycanthrope.nethas taken on a new, more functional face. It is hoped that this site will continue to be a valuable resource among the therianthropic, and lycanthropic commiuity.
